Wendy Anne Reid

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wendy Anne Reid, age 68 on Sunday March 14, 2021, at her home.
Born in North Sydney, September 7, 1952, Wendy was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Theresa (Broderick) Maxwell. Wendy enjoyed woodworking and genealogy, but most of all spending time with her family.
Wendy is survived by her husband Charles Reid, sisters Theresa (Gerard) Dugas, Dartmouth and Francine McCarthy, North Sydney, brothers Jack Maxwell (Harriet), Dartmouth and Blair Maxwell, Baddeck, nieces Melissa McCarthy and her son Adrian who called Wendy “Nanny”, Amanda, Tracey, nephews Christopher and Mark.
Besides her parents, Wendy was predeceased by her daughter Alecia Reid in 1995.
Visitation for Wendy will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. Covid-19 protocol regarding the wearing of masks, social distancing and limited capacity will be followed. A private funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, at a later date.
