Obituary of Violet Maud Watkins
peacefully at QHC-Belleville General Hospital on Monday, September 27, 2021, in her 92nd year. Daughter of the late Francis and Gladys Wilson. Beloved wife of the late Eric Watkins. Loving mother of Jeff (Judy) Watkins of Belleville. Cherished nanny of Nicole (Elliot) Warner and Daniel (Jennifer) Watkins and great nanny of Brooke and Jordan Warner. Violet is survived by her sisters-in-law, Anne and Kathleen Wilson, both of Belleville and predeceased by her brothers Donald, Brian and Alan Wilson. She is remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Violet was a dedicated volunteer with the Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary for the past 25 years. Her friendly face and English accent will be missed by her fellow volunteers, hospital staff and visitors alike.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from noon until the time of service. Interment to follow at Belleville Cemetery.
