Vincenzo Vince Morelli March 9th 2021

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we the family of Vince Morelli announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and zio.
Vince was born in Pescina L’Aqiula, Italy he came to Trail with his mother at the young age of three to be reunited with his father. Growing up on Byers Lane, Vince was always a hard worker, his desire to help in the community and his family started by delivering Readers Digest at the early age of seven. He always recognized the value of hard work and helping others which led him to a rewarding career in civil service. Although he lived in various communities as a young adult his heart and family were always in the Kootenays.
In 1989 he married the love of his life Terry and embraced his new role as husband and step-father to Denise (Brandon), Christine (Justin), and Stacey (Darrin). Together they watched their family grow to now include seven wonderful grandchildren; Dallas, Austin, Anna, Joel, Liam, Devin and Taylor.
He loved nothing more than spending time with Terry, dancing, quading, woodworking, spending time at the Valhalla lake cabin, playing cards and dice. Entertaining and cooking, were also a passion he always said “the more the merrier, I’ll just add another cup of water to the soup”. Anyone who had the pleasure of eating one of Vince’s great meals will never forget it.
Vince “Papa” was always looking for ways to spend time with his family, specifically his grandchildren. He loved teasing and telling them jokes, watching baseball and hockey games, making special meals and spoiling them whenever he could. The kids will always remember his three rules – “One hug for admission, don’t get hurt, and never leave hungry!”
He loved small town living and was always an active participant in the community. You may have known Vince as a member of the KIJHL, Rotary, School board, Scouts and part of the Village of Warfield and the Village of Fruitvale. True to his character and thru his work at the Village he was known for always putting the people and their needs first.
Vince was pre-deceased by his Mother, Emma and Father Luigi and leaves behind his beloved family including sisters Luisa (Stephen), Mariateresa (Renato), Liz, many nieces, nephews, cousins and zia Nancy and zio Tony.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Vince’s name may be made to the KBRH Foundation or the local Kids Sports.
Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
Vince was truly a kind, generous and loving gentleman. Anyone who had the good fortune to know him loved him.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.

Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Vincenzo Vince Morelli March 9th 2021..
