It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Valer Boleancu at the age of 86 on April 10th, 2021. Valer is deeply missed by his loving wife Doris, with whom he shared over 56 years of marriage. Valer will be dearly missed by his son Adrian (Tina) and daughter Caroline and his granddaughter Lauren. He had a special place in his heart for Lauren bringing him so much joy. He was loved and cherished by them all. Valer will also be fondly remembered by many additional family and friends in Canada, USA, and across Europe.
Valer was a very kind, gentle and intellectual man who gave up his advanced professional career as an honourable Judge in Europe to immigrate to Canada in 1967 and start all over again in order to provide for a better future for his family. He continued his intellectual pursuits in Canada and became a field engineer expressing his love for technology. You could always find him on his computer or his Blackberry exploring how to use every unique feature to its full capacity. Together with Doris and their children they built a modest life.The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. De Le, Dr. Hann, and Dr. Appelmann, for all of the care and compassion they have demonstrated over the years.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private service has been reserved for immediate family at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL. Extended friends and family are welcome to attend the Committal Service on Monday, April 19th, 2021 at Woodland Cemetery, 700 Spring Gardens Rd, Burlington. A ceremonial procession is set to depart from FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., on route to Woodland Cemetery on Monday April 19th. Due to COVID-19, attendance will be limited. If you wish to attend the ceremonial procession and Committal Service, please be sure to RSVP on Valer’s tribute page at www.friscolanti.com, and please plan to arrive with your vehicle at Friscolanti’s by 12:40p.m. In accordance with public health mandates, all guests are required to maintain a distance of 6 feet from each other and to please wear a face mask. There will be no exchanging of hugs, handshakes, or other physical forms of condolences during this time. We appreciate your understanding. As expressions of sympathy, flowers or a donation in memory of Valer may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
