ARCAND, Trevor
It is with heavy hearts, but with admiration for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Trevor Arcand on April 15, 2021 at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Alma (1989). Loving father of Donna Janzen (Ken) and the late Jane Hofmann (2017) (Dave). Adoring papa of Christopher (Amy) Janzen, Shannon (Quang) Tran, Craig Janzen, Julie Hofmann and Michelle Hofmann. He loved and cherished time spent with his great-grandchildren Aiden, Henry, Avery, and was anticipating the arrival of his newest great-grandson coming in July. Dear brother of Rena (Ray) Ellis and predeceased by his siblings Garnet, Lawson, Clarence, Francis, Elwood, Leonard and Ronnie. Trevor will be missed by his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
Dad was a man of strong faith, active and always determined. He created an environment which always made his family feel safe and provided them with a strong foundation for life. He was always ready to help a friend or family member. He lived each hour of his life with love and passion, never allowing challenges to get the best of him.
He modelled what it meant to be a supportive parent, a member of the community and showed us how passion and hard work could make a difference. His many friends are describing him as a true gentleman and a kind soul.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Ina Grafton and the staff at NHS-St. Catharines for their kindness and care.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family graveside service will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
