Obituary of Tim Ramsay
Tim passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving Country Lane family at Country Lane Long Term Care Home in Chatsworth, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Born on August 18, 1938, in Owen Sound, Edwin David “Tim” Ramsay, of Owen Sound, was 83 years of age.
Five days shy of their 62nd wedding anniversary, Tim was the beloved husband and best friend of Jean Ramsay (née Kivell). Loving father of David Ramsay (Gloria), Marjorie Walsh and Janet Gibson, all of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Alyna, Lynette, Cyril, Aleisa, Matthew, Jenna-Lee, Leeland, and great-grandfather of nine. Tim will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, siblings-in-law and the Kivell family.
Predeceased by his parents Elijah and Ida May Ramsay, and by his siblings Yvonne Roy, Sonia Baker, Ted Ramsay, Arden Smith and Wayne Ramsay.
Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. A private service to celebrate Tim’s life will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 17, 2021, and a recorded version of the service will be posted to Tim’s memorial on the funeral home website later in the day. Following cremation, interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
