Theora Murray (Simpell)
1934-2021
Theora Fay (Simpell) Murray, 87, of
Moncton, formerly of Salisbury, passed away Spencers Nursing Home on
Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Born in Midland ON, she was the last
surviving member of her immediate family, predeceased by her parents
William and Hanna (Clark) Simpell and six siblings.
Theora loved to travel in her younger
years, touring Europe before she had children who then became her joy
and priority. She worked for Algoma Steel, then became an Insurance
Broker for Wawanesa for many years, and finally retiring as a
Temporary Agency Worker. She was a member of TOPS for over 20 years
where she even won a trip to Nashville.
Survived and sadly missed by her
children, Liane Simpell-George (Joe), David (Stacey) Simpell, and
Dawna Melanson (Brian); grandchildren, Kassaundra Simpell, Chadd
Simpell, Tara Quigley, and Sean Simpell; eight great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and siblings, Theora
was predeceased by her former common-law partner of over 30 years,
Vaughn Murray.
Graveside Gathering will be held on
Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 2 pm at Five Points Cemetery.
