Our close-knit family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Terry O’Reilley of Russell, ON, on Wednesday April 21, 2021, at the age of 54. After battling a brief illness, Terry was surrounded by family when he passed away. Terry developed an early passion for art including his own published comic strip while still in high school. He continued to follow his passion throughout his life working as an animator on numerous tv shows and cartoons, culminating with an Emmy award for him and his team in 2019. He is survived and held «closer to the heart» by his parents Gerry & Joyce O’Reilley; his siblings Kevin (Laura), Shawn (Crystel), Shannon (Ray) and his nephews and nieces: Devon, Brynn, Adam (Mayora), Alanna, Everett and Drew. He was also well loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers and will be missed beyond measure. He will be missed for his unique sense of humour, his caring, and willingness to help that he always gave to his family. Heartfelt thanks to the many doctors, nurses and staff that cared for him at the Winchester Hospital, the Ottawa Heart Institute, and the Ottawa General Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation please consider the Ottawa Heart Institute.
