Glassford, Agnes Teresa (Terry) Ryan
1923-2021
On June 16, 2021, in her 98th year, at the Brockville General Hospital, Terry went to meet her beloved husband, Clarke. Terry was born in Peterborough, Ontario September 29, 1923. Daughter of late Albert J. Ryan and Mary Ann Lynch. Pre-deceased by her husband, Clarke Glassford in 1980, her three brothers Joe (Lilian Abel), Dan (Edith Lewis), and Ed (Olive LaLonde) and four sisters Alberta (Clifford O’Conner), Margaret (Basil Roque), Mary and Hazel.
Terry will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and family friends. She was an active member of the Brockville community, as a volunteer worker and member of the Auxiliary of St. Vincent de Paul since 1957 and a member of the OHAD since 1991. Terry was a devout member of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, attending daily masses at noon and volunteering whenever possible. Terry’s quick wit, serenades and smile brought many laughs to those who gathered with her. She dedicated her quiet time to her spiritual devotion, reading books, and making her famous fudge.
Family and friends are invited to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E., Brockville, on Monday, June 21 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier, 66 Church Street at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Fr. Price presiding. Right of Committal Prayers will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Covid 19 restrictions are in place so registration is required for attending visitation or the service.
