The family of Sunshine Raylane Benson-Thomas of Big Island Lake, Saskatchewan is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of nineteen years, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Sunshine is survived by her daughter: Ayda Shelly Thomas-Chariles; father of her daughter: Nathan Chariles; mother: Pamila Sue Benson; father: Conway Thomas; six brothers: Harley, Wakem, Acquim, Lashawn, Roman, Haven; three sisters: Lakisha, Keana, Raylene; maternal grandmother: Susan Benson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.
Sunshine was predeceased by her maternal grandfather: Lawrence Sandfly; paternal grandmother: Florence Thomas.
Going Home, Thursday, August 19, 2021 leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake at 11:00 a.m. to Big Island Lake Band Hall, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, SK.
Funeral Service, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., Big Island Lake Band Hall, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, SK with the Band Elders officiating. Pallbearers: Nathen, Richard, Clifford, Earl, Travis, Reggie.
