ZOMAR, Steven Michael
(1963-2021)
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Steve Zomar. Steve is survived by his daughter Jasmine, nephew Mike and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Michael, his mother Linda, his twin brother Stuart and his younger brother Scott.
Steve (Speedy, Zoom, friend, brother) always had a ready smile and a love of life. For the past twenty years he lived away from his family, and made his own connections. He had friends who turned into brothers, and companions who morphed into family. Thus Steve created a core group of loyal comrades with whom he enjoyed life. His passions for all things Vancouver Canucks and BC Lions made for many hours spent watching, cheering and placing friendly wagers on the outcome of a rivalry. Swinging a golf club or relaxing watching one of the movies from his collection provided laughter, banter and companionship.
Steve was a loyal employee of W. Ralston for many years and was respected for his experience, training of fellow employees and dedication to the job. It is said to trust a dog’s or a child’s instinct when recognizing the core value of a person. Know that Steve was loved by both, and that spending time with the children of his close friends and with his dogs brought much pleasure and laughter.
Speedy, you will be missed.
