Peacefully with family by his side, after a brief battle with cancer, on Friday, March 12, 2021 of Durham in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Wendy. Loving father of Justin(Gemma) of England, Matthew and Mitchell(Connie) all of Durham. Adoring grandfather of Rafe, Gabriel and Christina. Steve leaves behind his siblings Rick(the late Phyllis) of North Bay, Scott(Stacey) and Karen(Brian) all of Durham. Greatly missed by family-in-law Jim and Pam Morris, Les(Laura) Morris and Angela Morris. He is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and dear friends. Predeceased by his parents James and Bernice Flewelling.
Steve was a kind and caring soul. You could always find him helping out family and friends with one project or another. He especially loved spending time visiting with family, fishing, hunting and building furniture in his wood shop.
Thank you to Steve’s many supporters and caregivers including Dr. Rai, his associates Dr. Rachel and Dr. Gillian, Dr. Nechala, Dr. Batten and the many nurses and staff at both Owen Sound and Durham Hospitals for their wonderful care.
