In loving memory of a dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Stephen Patrick O’Brien of Torbay, NL. Passed away in his 84th year, surrounded by his loving family on March 11, 2021.
Predeceased by special grandson, Justin O’Brien; parents Joseph & Mary (Martin) O’Brien, parents-in-law Leo & Sarah (Power) Wade, sister Margaret (Maggie) O’Brien, brother Daniel O’Brien, brother-in-law Gordon Dyer, sister-in-law Alice (Wade) Cole, niece Charlotte O’Brien and special aunt Agnes Cantwell.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 52 years Adeleane (nee Wade) O’Brien, children Shelley (Craig Gosse), Sheri and Stephen (Amanda Kearsey); grandchildren Ian, Krista (Brian McIntyre), Kayla (Mark Squires), Connor, Marissa and Mia; great-grandchildren Leah, Haley, Aubree and Torren; sisters Mary (Polly) Dyer, Genevive (James Fitzgerald) and Judy (Michael Heffernan); brother Adrian O’Brien; sisters-in-law Rita (Dominic Farrell), Agnes Dyer and Irene O’Brien; brothers-in-law Jimmy (Geraldine) Wade and Tom Cole; a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, especially lifelong friends Jim, Gordon and Michael Bolger and cabin buddies Paul & Cathy Boylan, Rhodie & Evelyn Smith and ‘dat bunch across da pond’.
He worshiped his grandchildren dearly and they, their poppy. He will be forever missed.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
