Passed suddenly away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Stella Fudge (nee Lushman), formally of Francois. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories, children Ross Fudge (Marie) of Corner Brook; Wanda Hooper (Stephen) of Marystown; Lisa Robbins (Todd) of St. John’s; grandchildren Damien (Adrienne), Lacie (Johnny), Alicia(Glenn), Holly(Jamie), Emma and Ethan; great grandchildren Nickie, Lucas, Jayme, Jackson, Stephen, Anthony, Delilah, Gage, Axel, Isabella and Caroline; brothers Leo Carter, Micheal Lushman (Mae), Paul Lushman (Sus);sister-in-law June Fudge, brothers-in-law Leslie Fudge, Roland Durnford, Samuel P Durnford; and special caregivers Sandra, Darlene, and Linda; plus a large circle of family and friends. Stella was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, John Fudge; parents Frank and Olive Lushman; brother Ralph Lushman and sisters Gladys Durnford, Vera Durnford and Alice Durnford. Our mother was a wonderful woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and aunt. She would often volunteer her time to help anywhere she could, and always like to say «you will never miss what you give away in kindness.» Mom loved all her friends that would drop by for tea, knitting, playing cards and The Young and the Restless. She found great joy and beauty in the outdoors, spending time at their cabin, berry picking and fishing. Stella has left her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends with many special memories to cherish. Due to Covid-19 government restrictions a private viewing will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Burgeo followed by an interment service at the Burgeo Community Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Elsie Rose. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital www.janewayfoundation.nf.ca
