Silk, Margot Kathleen
Margot passed away peacefully at the Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the age of 86 after an adventurous, wonderful and exciting life with her late husband, William “Will” Silk.
Margot and Will had several business ventures during their 58 years of marriage; an Antique Store in Cookstown, Ontario, Sandwich and Donut shops in both Woolacombe and Bristol, North Devon, UK and in later years, an engraving business that took them to craft shows in both Ontario and Europe. Funny, caring and always positive, Mom left an impression with those she met, especially the caring staff at Errinrung Retirement Home in Thornbury, Ontario.
Loving mother of Trisha (Mark) McHale, Peter (Gail Dolenko) Silk and Sue (Toni Ollerton) Silk. Dear Grandma of Robert and Elizabeth (Jayde Lauzon) Silk and remembered fondly by Lynda Silk.
As per Margot’s wishes, a private cremation has taken place and a joint burial of Margot and Will’s ashes will occur at a later date at the Markdale Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the dedicated and compassionate staff at Chapman House for their care of Mom at the end.
