She is survived by her son, Stephen Leo Ogden and wife

Shirley was
predeceased by her husband Leo Ewen Ogden (1993), son Gerald Paul
Ogden (1974), and two sisters, Geraldine Banister and Yvonne
Marr.
Mom joined the army and met our Dad on the train to Saint
John for her basic training. She later married our father in 1945
after he returned home from World War II. They moved over 20 times in
the 30 years Dad served in the Armed Forces, Dad retired from the Army
and we moved to Woodstock so that he could start his career with
Canada Customs in 1972. Mom and Dad loved Woodstock and Mom
immediately immersed herself in the community. Mom was active in Girl
Guides, Kings Daughters, Eastern Star, Anavets, Royal Canadian Legion,
Forever Young Club and the Woodstock United Baptist Church.
Mom loved to have visitors and was a fabulous cook. Nobody left
her house hungry. She always had time for her friends and family
especially her Grandchildren. Mom loved to garden, knit and crochet.
She was an avid traveller and toured Great Britain, Europe, cruised
the Caribbean with her four sisters and loved to go for a bumble with
anybody that offered.
Special thanks to the staff of Eden
Court, Carleton Manor and the staff at Riverside Court. The staff took
such wonderful care of our Mom.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday July 29th, 2021
at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
Following the service family will receive guests at Connell
House on Connell Street in Woodstock for a receiption.
If so desired, memorial donations can be made to River Valley
