In loving memory of Shirley (Higgins) Dzuirban 85 years old who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Dzuirban, whom she missed dearly after 55 years of marriage. Loving mother of Richard (Lily), Mark (Tanya), and Brian (Andrea). Cherished Grandmother of Robyn (Jordan), Casey (Barbara), Alexandra (Craig), Kyle (Natalie), Siobhan (Eoghan), Tyler, and Nora. Dear daughter of Richard and Winifred Higgins (predeceased). Dear sister to Lois Horan (Des predeceased), Jack (Jackie), Karen, Marlene Coleman (Jim), and Dennis (predeceased/ husband to Lynn). Sister-in-law to Harry, Edward, and Mary Rokis (all predeceased). Sadly missed and loved by many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was born and raised in Capreol. She was an active member of this community for her entire life. Shirley was a member of Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Red Hats and had a love for line dancing. Early in her career, she worked in the offices at CN Rail before beginning work at the Capreol Municipal offices, a position she held for much of her working career. Shirley was a lifetime member of the Capreol First Baptist Church. Along with being a faithful member of the Church, she was an active Sunday school teacher, pianist, treasurer, and many more notable roles in the Church. Shirley’s true joy was her family, spending countless memorable moments with her grandchildren. Shirley was a deeply faithful person and showed her love in Christ in everything she did and everyone she met.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice and Dr. Mocanu of the Northeast Cancer Centre for their excellent care and compassion.

Private family funeral service in Capreol First Baptist Church Thursday, August 19th, 2021. Interment in the family plot at Capreol Cemetery will be on Thursday August 19th and all are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to Capreol First Baptist Church would be appreciated.
