Seung Kon Lee
1968-2021
It is with profound sadness that the family of Seung Kon Lee
announce his passing on Friday, May 14th, 2021
at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born in Seoul,
South Korea on July 1st, 1968 to parents
Hunchil Lee and Hyunmal Shin and was the loving husband of Kummi
Cho.
In addition to his wife Kummi, Seung Kon will be deeply
missed by his sons, Wooseok Lee, Junseok Lee and Hyunseok Lee and
brothers, Ji Kon Lee and Ahnshik Lee. He will be deeply missed by his
many family members overseas, friends and his
community.
Seung Kon Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea, and lived there
for over 40 years before moving to Canada with his family in 2007. He
was the owner and grandmaster of S. K. Lee’s Taekwondo
Academy located on Kimble Drive, Fredericton, which operated for 12
years under his leadership. He taught hundreds of students since
opening in 2009 and was widely respected as a member of the local
community.
A public visitation will take place at McAdam’s
Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 from
2:00pm – 4:00pm and from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A Mass
of Christian Burial will take place at St. Dunstan’s
Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at
12:00pm. We kindly ask that those who wish to
