It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our devoted mom, Sandra Fishman (née Stober) on Monday, March 8, 2021. She passed away with great courage and dignity surrounded by her family. Sandra was ‘Bubby Sandy’ to everyone who knew her. Devoted wife and best friend of the late Bernie Fishman. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Dr. Helene Fishman-Shear and Ronnie Shear, and Audrey Fishman. Cherished and adored Bubby of Marissa Shear-Singer and Mark Singer; Marc Geylman and Courtney, and Raquel Geylman. Proud great-grandmother of Brooklyn and Sutton Singer. Daughter of the late Harry Stober and the late Ruth Stober-Silver. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Sue and the late Sammy Freedman; and sister-in-law of Pearl Fishman, the late Lil and the late Stan Kuchinsky, the late Evelyn and the late Marvin Donaldson, the late Ruth and the late Moe Fishman. Sandra will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Her love and generosity to others were beyond words. She really lived for today and conquered all her illnesses. A true fighter. Bubby Sandy was the true matriarch of our family. She created a special bond with everyone and will be forever remembered and missed by her best friend, Lil Shear. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Geylman for his kindness and generosity. Sincere gratitude to Dr. Johanne Monette, Dr. Lawrence Panasci and Dr. Albert Cohen for giving our mom exceptional care for many years. This year was very difficult due to the COVID pandemic, but we were fortunate that Audrey devoted herself to taking care of our mom and our family was able to be together. A private graveside service to take place.
