It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth on April 13, 2021, at the age of 79. Loving mother of Steve (Patti), Hank (Christine) and Tracie. Treasured grandma of Grant, Jack, Maddy and Luca. Dear sister of Don (Jeannine), late Joan (late Bill), Joyce, late Bill (late Rosalie), Sam (late Dorothy), late Butch, Harold (Sharon) and Vince (Barb). She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ruth retired from WECDSB in 2007, where she was loved by the teachers and students. In her retirement, she volunteered for the Downtown Mission and Windsor Community Meals Program. Her best role in life was that of mom and grandma.
If you so desire, donations to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Face coverings and reservations are required for visitation on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.-1:45 p.m. at Families First, LaSalle, 2130 Front Road (519-969-5841). You may RSVP here or by calling Families First directly.
A private family service to honour Ruth will take place following the visitation. Friends are invited to join the livestream of Ruth’s funeral service by visiting the service link on Ruth’s online profile on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
