Ruth Pauline Smith
1945-2021
Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Prince County
Hospital Summerside on Friday February 5, 2021 of
Ruth Pauline Smith of Rose Valley aged 75 years. Born in
Hampton on October 17, 1945, daughter of the late Arthur and Mable
(Bishop) Gamble. Wife of Brenton Smith. Mother of
Pauline (Doug) Dekker, Sam (Maryann) Smith, Jackie
(deceased) and Charlene Smith (Lionel Chaisson). Grandmother of Alex
Rogers. Great-grandmother of Kenley Rogers as well as her
step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived
by her sisters Edna (Frank) Swing, Judy (Jerry) Sager,
Beatrice Gamble (Dave Shelly) and Pearl (John) MacDonald brother Carl
(Darlene) Gamble and sister-in-law Helen LeClair and Helen Smith. Also
surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
brothers Cecil Gamble, brothers-in-law Charlie Hope, Robert Smith,
Cecil (Ella) Smith and James (Audrey) Smith, sisters-in-law Sadie
(Roy) Frizzell, Bertha (Ivan) Frizzell, Dorothy Smith and
Mina Lord.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. Due
to Covid 19 restrictions, no public visitation will be held.
A private family funeral will be available to view
online after 2 p.m. on Tuesday February
9th. Interment later in the Springton
Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be made to the Springton
Cemetery Fund.
