It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful mother Rose Mary (nee Vickers) Dunne of Witless Bay on March 25, 2021 at the age of 81. Rose passed away at her home, Alderwood Estates, surrounded by her devoted and adoring family.
Predeceased by her husband Ronald, son Blair (Cathy Barron), son-in law Chuck Clark; her parents Anne and James Vickers; sisters Emily (Bob Perrine), Dorothy (Bernie Mullowney), Victoria (Charles Parsons), Hilda (Carl Poekel) and brothers Bill and Howard (Helen). Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of cherished memories her loving children Tina (Keith Frampton), Terry (Serena Holwell), Daryl Clark, Cleveland (Anne Marie), Ron, Judy (Howard) and Barry (Colleen); her precious grandchildren Roseanne (Stefan), Barry (Christina Foran), Leeanne (Tyler Schwoob), Olivia, Ronald, Tylor, Justin (Natasha O’Brien) and Zander; and great grandchildren Alex, Kera, Alexandra (Dylan), Christopher and Presley. Also leaving to mourn her sister Bernadette (Junie O’Brien), many nieces and nephews, her large extended Alderwood family who adored her, as well as a multitude of caring neighbors and friends.
Special thanks to Bernadette Coady, Debbie Dunne-Seaward, Susan Carew, Renee Houlihan and all the staff and residents of Alderwood Estates for their continuous love, care and support over the last 6 years. There are no words to express how thankful and appreciative we are for everything you have done to make her life happy and full. Thanks to Community Health Nurse Nicole Power-Sharpe, Dr. O’Dea with the Palliative Care Team, Dr. Wade Mercer, Dr. Dennis O’ Keefe and the countless other health care professionals for their kindness, professionalism and care over the years. Also sincere thanks to Father Philip Melvin for his compassion, prayers and comfort in her last hours.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Rose’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls.
