It is with love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother, Nana, and Great Nana, Rose Cunningham on May 1st, 2021 at the grand age of 99.
Rose was born in Glenavy, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland on April 21st, 1922. She married James Cunningham in 1951, and they emigrated to Canada in1966 with their three young children. Mommy was predeceased by Daddy in 1981.
We are left with many fond memories of her love of Ireland, and everything Irish, music, her faith in God, and most of all love of her family. Anyone that knew her will remember the teapot was never cooled, and all were always welcome in her home. She found a renewed sense of purpose in retirement with the arrival of her grandchildren. A better Nana there was not.
Left behind to cherish the memories are her three children: Joseph (Marcey), James (Michele), Colette (Paul); her four Grandsons: Paulo (Marie), Joseph (Tanna), Brendan (Chelsey), Conor (Nina); two Great Grandsons: Anthony and Johan. Also her niece Ann, many friends locally, and family members in Ireland, and abroad.
Due to Covid Private Catholic Mass and Christian Burial.
