John Roney slipped away peacefully Tuesday morning, September 14, 2021, with his wife of 61 years, Patricia, and their dear friend & neighbour, Evie Hoyer, by his side.
John was born October 30, 1932, in Kingston and raised in Napanee, Ontario. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia, their sons John and Lincoln (Lyne) and grandchildren Erin, Jonas (Rady), Chanelle (Michael), and Katelyn.
John’s memory will also be cherished by his in-laws, Alahree (Ed) and Walter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family members, and many special friends. John has been reunited with his parents Harry and Octavia, and his four siblings Vernon, Marian, James, and Minnie, who have gone before him.
John will be missed for his wonderful sense of humour, always armed with a joke; he had a remarkable ability to make anyone laugh. John will also be remembered for his strong sense of faith guiding him through life, making him the loving and caring man his family and friends knew him to be.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
