Obituary for Robert (Bob) Bird
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob (Robert) Bird at Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Maryanne for 54 years, dear father of Sherri (Dan) and treasured grandfather of Trey. Loving brother of Pat and Carol (deceased). Caring brother-in-law to Emily (Eugene), Dan (Liz), and Joe. Kind uncle to several nieces and nephews. Cherished and loved friend to many. Bob enjoyed a full life and delighted in time spent with family and on the golf course. He also operated his own business, R. E. B. Insurance, for many years. Bob could always be found with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. Quite the socialite, he would run into someone he knew everywhere. As per Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Erin Gallagher, niece Kimberly Kucybala, as well as Dr. Hal Hirte and the team at Juravinski Hospital, for their sincere care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
