It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Allan Murk on September 17, 2021. Rob is survived by his daughters Skye Murk (Josh) and Karley Murk (LJ); Sheila Murk, the mother of his children; mother, Lyn Murk; sister Lana Gratton (Glen) and their children Brooke Bishop (Brett), Paige, Chase and Connor; brother Brad Murk (Heather) and their children Chloe and Caitlyn; birth parents Billy McBain, Sue Caron and sons Tim and Richie. Also mourning his loss are numerous relatives and friends.
Rob was predeceased by his father Allan in 2013 and grandparents.
Rob was an outgoing child with the cutest chubby cheeks who was full of adventure, charm and fun. He grew up in St. Albert playing many sports including hockey and baseball alongside his little but bigger brother Brad.
He was known for his flashy socks, shoes, ties and of course numerous tattoos. Undoubtedly he was the best steak griller and handyman of the family and was the ultimate fun uncle.
He adored his daughters and loved teaching them how to drive but was happy when they both got their licenses to save him from multiple cases of whiplash.
Rob was a social butterfly and made friends wherever he went with his infectious smile, laugh and telling of the best silly dad jokes. You always left his presence happier. He was a server, always making sure those around him had what they needed and were taken care of. He has left a beautiful legacy in his girls, memories to forever cherish and will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Rob’s life will take place in the future.
