Obituary of Rick Lillington
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Rick Lillington announces his passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Sunday, July 4th, 2021 at the age of 67 with his loving family by his side. Born in Port aux Basques, Rick was the son of the late Israel and Mary (White) Lillington. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 49 years, Una “Queen” Lillington (Pearce), sons, Wayne (Minnie) Lillington, Shawn (Christine) Lillington and daughter, Trina (Hayden) Alley, grandchildren, Brittany (EJ Humby), Gregory, Kyle, Katie, Zachery and Cameron and great grandson, Mason, sister, Marilyn Underhill (David Rudge), brothers and sisters in laws, Dave (Angela) Currie, Lloyd (Jennifer) Currie, Calvin (Rhonda) Currie, Ruby (Willard) Payne, Maxine Ingram, Diane (John) Collier, MaDonna (Derek) Kettle, Kay Currie (Jim Sheaves), Judy (Tony) Merrigan and Tracy (Paul) Spencer, special nieces, Tasha, Staci, Theresa and nephew, Jamie, special friends, Nancy and Vernon Jeans , Evelyn Lilly and Barry Alley, as well large circle of friends, nieces and nephews. Rick was predeceased, by brothers, Gary and Tom Lillington, brother-in-law, Bob Underhill. The family will receive visitors at Oceanside Funeral Home, on Monday, July 5th from 2-4 & 7-9. In keeping with Rick’s wishes cremation to follow. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 7th at St. James Anglican Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jane Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port-aux-Basques, 695-7010.
