Suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, Preston Eugene Blaisdell passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was aged 59 years of Sailors Hope Road, Howe Bay PE.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 41 years Wendy (nee Laybolt) and will be forever remembered as the best dad in the world to Andrew (Rachel), Gail MacLellan (Brodie), Crystal (Jonathan) and James (Denise). He will also be missed by his dear mother Elizabeth Blaisdell, along with Tanya MacLean and Craig MacLellan and chosen son Brett Wood. Preston was a caring and fun-loving grandfather to Brandon, Chloe, Caroline, Nicholas, Maddox, Cassie, Cole, Sara, Stephen, Clinton, Jazlyn and Allie.
Also to mourn his loss are his siblings Rhoda (Pat), David (Mary Margaret), Beverly (Jimmy) and Bernie (Lisa) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Andrew, his siblings Kenny and Carol Blaisdell and in-laws Daniel and Auldis, Roger and Dianne Laybolt.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place for family and invited guests. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Charles Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Please note that a proof of vaccination will be required for those attending the visitation. If so desired, donations in memory of Preston can be made to the St. Charles Cemetery Fund or the Eastern Health Foundation (Souris Hospital).
