Peacefully in his home on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Petrus “Peter” Janssens of Alexandria; age 87 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Anna Janssens (née Geens). Loving father of Lucas, Patrick (Melanie Masa), Dany and Christine Ashton (Cameron). Proud grandfather of Richard Ashton (Laura Blewett) and Alexandra Ashton. Predeceased by his parents Ludovicus and Anna Maria Janssens (née Gillaerts) and by his sister Maria Kemps (late Jan). Friends and relatives may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church at 3 pm, interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Those who wish to attend the controlled visitation and Mass must call the Funeral Home, Mon. to Fri. between 9 am & 5 pm, to register your attendance. Masks and physical distancing will be required.
