The family of Paul Asling sadly announce his unexpected passing at home on January 7, 2021 at the age of 74 years.
Beloved husband of Kathy for 49 years. Loving father of Kimberly Asling-Ings (David), Sean Asling (Rachelle) and Tara Asling (Joe Kehoe). Adored Papa of Richard Ford (Kapo Lo), Jennifer Ford, Aurora Asling, Andrew Sturgeon, Nathan Sturgeon, Megan Sturgeon, Sarah Sturgeon, Heather Sturgeon, Mary Kehoe, Christopher Kehoe, Payton Martin, Callan Kehoe and Irelynn Kehoe. Cherished great-papa of Liam. Paul is survived by his sisters Noreen Willoughby, Doreen Roberge (Ron), Valerie Leonard and sister in law Lenora Harper, he was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Marjorie Asling and brother Kenneth Asling. Paul will be remembered for his strong work ethic. He worked for 54 years total until his recent layoff in March due to Covid 19. Paul loved cars, especially his 1965 GTO. He also loved pool, and he made many lifelong friends playing the game. He had a deep love for his wife, his children and grandchildren. Paul loved animals and he was an integral part of The Animal Guardian Society (TAGS) an animal rescue founded by his wife Kathy. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the first responders, Clarington Fire Department, Durham EMS and Durham Regional Police for all they did.
A Private Family Memorial will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville on Tuesday January 12th, 2021 at 11 am.
