Patrick Irvine Burt passed away surrounded by family on Friday, September 17th at the age of 84 at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, Ontario.
Loving husband of Alice for 60 years. Beloved father of Sue (Kevin), Lisa, Elizabeth, Stephen and Grant (foster son). Proud grandfather of Matthew, Shannon, Megan B., Taylor, Megan M., Adam, Candice and Stephanie. Dearest brother of George and Helen (Harold).
Pat will be remembered for his compassion, thoughtfulness and kindness, which was always shining down on his family, as well as his colleagues at the TTC where he worked as a Shop Steward for over 25 years.
Pat had a passion for life. Whether it was cooking his famous stew for his grandkids at his home near Carnarvon, Ontario or dancing the night away to the Big Bands at the Palais Royale with Alice, his love was felt by everyone who was blessed to be part of his life.
His seat at the head of the dining room table, his direction as to the placement of the Christmas tree, and the sound of Elvis playing in the background will be memories that will never be replaced or forgotten.
