Richardson, Patricia (nee. Wellock)
On Saturday, May 15, 2021, Patricia Richardson (Wellock), loving wife, mother of two children, and grandmother of three children passed away at the age of 81.
Pat was born on November 11, 1939 in Seattle, WA to Ed and Doris (Clack) Wellock. She was a graduate of Riverside High School and received her Registered Nurse training at Grace Hospital in Windsor. On April 27, 1963, she married Mel Richardson. They raised a son, David, and a daughter, Elizabeth (Beth). In addition to being an RN, Pat worked as an artist, a floral designer, and for many years a bookseller at Coles. It was a dream job for such an avid book lover.
Pat had a passion for painting and became quite accomplished before a lengthy illness introduced new challenges. She loved her two dogs Katie and Lola, both playful loving companions. Pat was also a voracious reader and music lover. She was known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and her kind spirit.
Pat was preceded in death by her father, Ed, and her mother, Doris. She is survived by her husband Mel, two children, David and Beth, son-in law Curtis Rushing, grandchildren Sam, Jackson, and Sadie, her sister in Louisville KY, Charlotte, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Es County.
