Ola Muriel Perkins
1932-2021
Peacefully and gently, as she lived her entire life, Ola M. (Albright)
Perkins of Zealand, NB, died on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Mum was
born in Zealand, NB on March 24, 1932 to parents Charlie and Bertie
(Lawrence) Albright. She was the last of her immediate family.
Mum decided at 14 years old to become a teacher and was unstoppable
toward that goal. Many young people benefitted from this. You know
who you are.
She loved the Boyce Farmers Market with many years as a vendor there.
“Courting” mitts made her smile. She was also a TOPS
member for many years and loved her family of friends there.
Mum was predeceased by a son Eugene in 1966, as well as her parents,
her husband, Leslie, sisters Gladys Randall (Arnold), Ferne Currie
(Albert), infant Dorothy and a brother Eugene.
Ola is survived by great grandsons Elliot Cole and Ozzy Perkins;
granddaughter Wendy Cole (Andrew); grandson Leigh Perkins (Teri); sons
Hubert (Wilma) and Clarke (Jim) and many loved nieces and
nephews.
A family graveside service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican
Cemetery, Zealand, NB on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2 pm with
Rev. George Clark officiating.
A special thank-you must be extended to Dr. M. A. Bramstrup, Extra
Mural Care and the fine people at Wauklehegan Manor and Nashwaak
Villa.
As a remembrance, please be free to send recollections of how Ola
affected your life. Use the website or send us a note. We will
compile them. Donations to the SPCA would be equally
appreciated.
