Norman’s Obituary
NICKERSON, Norman Chesley – 85, of Woods Harbour, It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Norman at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Saturday August 21, 2021 with family by his side. Born in Woods Harbour on Dec 3rd 1935, Norman was the son of the late Havelock and Maude Nickerson, predeceased by his loving wife Rosemary of 65 years, brothers Donnie and Andrew, grandson Cole and great-grand-daughter Amber Nicole.
Norman will be lovingly remembered by his children Glenda, Paulette(Donnie),Chesley,Darren(LeeAnne)Stephen(Karen),Tyrone(Crystal) and Justin(Tasha). Grandchildren Douglas, Aaron, Neil, Stacey, Hunter, Grant, Heidi, Loghan, Shale Shanobie, Colby, Tineah, Kenzie, Brooklyn, Taylor and Chy Anna, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Norman was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and faithful friend. Norman’s passion was fishing from a very young age of 14 until he stepped off the boat at the age of 82. He enjoyed his time up Clyde at the camp also sitting to the table having a yarn with whoever stopped in. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all that took care of him while at home and his time spent at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, we would also like to thank Dr. Hunter Blair for his home visits and EHS and H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium. Service will be held at Wood’s Harbour Calvary Baptist Church and Interment at Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. It has been requested that there be family flowers only and donations to your charity of choice.
