Norma Louise Fletcher
January 7, 1936 – December 14, 2021
The family of Norma Louise (Corbett) Fletcher is deeply saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, December 14th, 2021, at Carleton Manor.
Norma was born in Woodstock on January 7th, 1936, to Mike and Viola (Martin) Corbett. She attended Woodstock schools and was the valedictorian of her graduating class, the first class from the former Woodstock Composite High School, in 1954. She married Glen Fletcher on September 1st, 1956. They spent sixty-five happy years together.
Norma is survived by her husband, Glen, her daughter, Andrea and her husband, Harold Boomer, and her son, Michael and his wife, Danielle. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, whom she adored – Caroline Fletcher-Allison (Jamie), Ethan Fletcher (Courtnee), Isabelle Fletcher and Will Boomer.
She was predeceased by her parents and her only sibling.
Norma was a devoted member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church for her entire life. She sang in both Junior and Senior Choirs, was a member of ACW, Altar Guild, and Willing Workers, and was a dedicated volunteer for various church activities.
Norma was much loved and will be dearly missed by her family. The family extends thanks to the staff of Carleton Manor for the kindness shown to Norma during the last two years.
Funeral services to be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm from The Culberson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Harold Boomer officiating. Interment at Woodstock Rural Cemetery in the spring.
The family has designated the Big Brothers and Sisters or the Carleton Manor for Memorial contributions.
Due to current provincial regulations, proof of vaccination and government issued identification will be required for entry to the service.
