“It is hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember”
On September 19, 2021, Betty passed away in her sleep after a heroic battle against cancer. She was surrounded by family as she took her last breath. Betty had a magnetic personality and an infectious smile. She loved meeting, talking, and helping people, travelling, birds, being involved with her church, and her many girlfriends that she travelled with. Remember her for her beautiful smile and, at times, her warped sense of humor, and fudge bars were her friends.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to doctors, nurses and staff at the U of A, Glenrose, General Continuing Care Hospital and Pilgrim’s Hospice Society who cared so much for Betty during her times at these facilities. Memorial donations in Betty’s honour are gratefully accepted to Pilgrim’s Hospice Society, 9808 148 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, T5N 3E6.
