Nellie B. Watkins
1927-2021
Nellie B. Watkins of Herring Neck passed peacefully away at
the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander on Saturday January 16,
2021 at the age of 93.
She was predeceased by: parents John and Louise Fudge;
Husband Pleamon; great-grandchildren: Theodore and Jonah; brothers:
Frederick (Olive) Card and Stewart (Jessie) Fudge; and son-in-law
Winston Burt.
Nellie leaves with many loving and treasured memories:
Children: Thelma (Bonnell) Hurley, Pearl Burt, Loretta (David) Holwell
and Bruce (Karen) grandchildren: Glen (Twyla), Sherri-Lynn
(Daryl), Vance (Coralee), Bobby (Stacey), Angie (Guy), Mark (Raye),
Paul, Lesley (Justin); great-grandchildren: Sarah, Jack, Aidan, Kara,
Xaiver, Rachel, Brooke, Kaitlyn and Ryker; as well as a large circle
of nephews, nieces, extended relatives and friends.
In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and
safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest
priority, at this time a private funeral service will be held on
Monday January 18, 2021 for invited guests. Donations may be
made in Nellie’s honour to St. Mary’s Anglican
Church, Herring Neck.
