Obituary
Nancy passed away peacefully in the hospital on September 15, 2021, following a brief, aggressive but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 65. Nancy leaves behind her family whom she loved dearly. Beloved wife to Kirby Parton, and loving mother to Andrew and Michael. Nancy was born in Ottawa, Ontario on April 13, 1956, to Albert (deceased) and Mary Hanson, and was part of a large family including her siblings Laurie, Mark &(Kate), Tom &(Diane), Ken &(Andrew), Janet &(Marc), James &(Walter), and Lynne &(Dave).
Nancy was a rather private individual, with a quiet but extremely kind heart to those she came in contact with. Nancy spent her days on the computer or knitting mitts, sweaters, hats, crocheting afghans, etc…as her crafts were endeared by so many. Nancy would sometimes get a project near completion, find a flaw, or so she thought, and tear the wool back to the beginning, only to start fresh.
A funeral is being held for immediate family on Monday September 27, 2021@11:00 am at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Ottawa, internment will follow at Notre Dame cemetery Montreal Road.
