Obituary For Michael George Netzel
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael George Netzel on June 2, 2021 at the age of 37 years.
Michael was born on March 24, 1984, the son of Kevin and Beatrice. He spent his entire life in Grande Prairie, Alberta, where in his adult years he worked as a cook for Tony Roma’s as well as a few other restaurants. He was currently employed by Royal Camp Services Ltd. as a cook and was looking forward to pursuing his career as a chef.
Mike loved the outdoors, camping, trail riding on his bike as well as music and spending quality time with his many friends. He also loved his cat Alice.
Mike is survived by his father Kevin of Grande Prairie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins on both his father’s and mother’s sides of his family. He also leaves to mourn his recent girlfriend Jessica Zuffa, of Radium Hot Springs, B.C.
He was predeceased by his mother Beatrice Netzel of High Prairie, in March 2021.
Mike’s favourite quote taken from his Facebook page was “I am who I am, I am me, I am one”.
In Celebration of Mike’s life, a Graveside Service will be held on July 31, 2021 at 12:00pm at Gift Lake Metis Settlement followed by a luncheon.
