At her home, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Mary Jane Chabot (née Lajoie) of Dalkeith; age 78 years. Beloved wife of the late Gilles Chabot (2006). Loving mother of Richard Chabot (Tammy), Grace Gauvreau, Debra Chabot (Maurice Jean), Denise Gareau (Raymond) and Suzanne Chabot. Mary Jane was proud of 9 grandchildren and of her 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Shirley Lajoie, Betty Cooper (Thomas) and Linda McNeil (Dennis). Predeceased by her parents Marie Auger and Albert Lajoie; and by siblings Rene (late Cecil), Laura Campbell and Barbara Massia (late Bernie). Friends and relatives may attend a visitation at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria (525-2772) on Friday December 17, 2021 from 9 to 10:45 am. A private Chapel Service will be held later. Burial of cremated remains in the St. Alexander’s Cemetery, Lochiel. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Mary Jane, a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
