It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Mary Slaney of St. Lawrence announces her passing. Mary passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Sunday, November 28th, 2021 at the age of 57.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Edward of 28 years; daughters, Samantha Slaney (Chris Smith) of CBS, and Stephanie Slaney of St. Lawrence; stepdaughter, Sarah Drake of Langly, BC; 4 grandchildren, Luke and Logan, and Ava and Evander; step-grandchildren, Kameron, Tristen, and Mya; sisters, Jackie Kearney (Sandy Lake) of Burin, Olivia Byrne (Tony) of Corner Brook, Emma Kearney (Dwayne Strang) of St. Lawrence, Ag Kearney (Chris Nash) of Edmonton, AB, and Diane Murphy (Rod) of St. Lawrence; brothers, Jerry Kearney (Phyllis) of St. Lawrence, Kev Kearney (Marina) of St. Lawrence, Gord Kearney (Joyce) of St. Lawrence, Bill Kearney of St. Lawrence, and Cyril Kearney of Toronto, ON; sister-in-law, June Edwards of Lawn, and Muriel Slaney of St. Lawrence; Brothers-in-law, Wayne Slaney of St. Lawrence, Rick Slaney of St. Lawrence, Paul Slaney (Sandy) of St. Lawrence, and Keith Beck (Betty) of St. Lawrence; special niece, Amanda Kearney (Jason Ferrie) of St. Lawrence; special nephew, Michael Slaney of St. Lawrence; plus a large number of family and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Roberts and Helen Kearney; brother, Robert Kearney Jr; parents-in-law, Isabelle and Vicent Slaney; sisters-in-law, Laura Slaney and Jackie Slaney, and brother-in-law, Gerald Edwards.
Visitation and funeral service will be announced at a later time.
In Mary’s memory donations may be made to The Slaney family or flowers gratefully accepted.
