Mary Alma (Withers) Wilson
February 01, 1924 – November 30, 2021
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother Mary Alma (Withers) Wilson on November 30, 2021 at the age of 97 after a short battle with cancer.
Mary was predeceased by her husband William with whom she is finally reunited after 34 years.
She was also predeceased by her parents Ida May Pugh and Samuel Wesley Withers and her daughter Beatrice.
She will be lovingly remembered by he her son William (Geneva) and her ‘adopted’ son Robbie. She will also be greatly missed by her granddaughter Melanie and great granddaughter Carigan with whom she had a very special relationship and step-granddaughter Chrissy.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Lonny, Lisa, Shawn, and Shelley and several great grandchildren in Ontario.
Thoughout her 97 years, Mary has met a lot of people who meant the absolute world to her – too many to name but please know that she loved and appreciated each and every one of you.
Mary was an avid bingo player and went as often as she could. She made several special friends from her bingo years and always loved her bingo family,
The family would like to say a special thank you to all of the nurses at the Dartmouth General (especially 3 West) who took such good care of Mary in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s memory to the Salvation Army.
Visitation will 6:00-9:00 p.m. Monday , with funeral service 12:30 p.m. Tuesday all in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street, Dartmouth. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Covid precautions will be followed, masks must be worn and proof of vaccination will be required to attend. There will be no exceptions
