Obituary for Marilyn Grant
Marilyn Joyce (Wilson) Grant, passed away peacefully in Oaks Retirement Village on June 17, 2021 at the age of 84. Marilyn is the daughter of the late George & Carrie (McKay) Wilson. Beloved wife of the late Charlie Grant for fifty–nine years. Loving mother of David, Ian (Tina), Neil (Karen) and Kerry. Dear grandmother of Kirsten, Brian, Lisa, Julie, Alexander and Mitchell. Sister of the late Jim (Norma) Wilson. Sister-in-law of Eldon and Marilyn A. Grant. In her younger years, Marilyn was involved in 4H and enjoyed music and art. She became an elementary teacher, farm bookkeeper and crop insurance agent. She also held various offices with the Wilkesport United Church and the Women’s Institute. Family and friends are invited for visitation at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 4-7:30pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, in-person funeral services will be private. Marilyn will be laid to rest beside Charles at Grant Cemetery.
