Obituary of Marie Foulkes
The family of Marie Foulkes are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of the foundation of our family, at home while being held tightly by those who loved her on May 27, 2021.
She was the beloved daughter of Geraldine Barton and the late Kenneth Austin and cherished sister to Zelda Blyth (David) and the late Barry Austin. She was also predeceased by brothers Kenneth and Phillip.
She was the loving wife of the late Brian Rees Foulkes whom she married on June 28, 1975. She had an unwavering dedication to Brian until his passing on April 16, 2020.
Marie was also the most selfless, kind and loving mother to Angela (Dave) Hebert, Brian James (Yvette) and her most beloved and missed son, Kenny Foulkes. She was an amazingly wonderful grandmother and great grandmother to Stephanie (John) Hebert, their children Brayden, Callie and Austin, Sarah (Cody) Hebert, Samantha Hunter – Foulkes, Justin and Tara Foulkes and her children Carson and Avah, Will and Rachel Foulkes. We will forever miss your hugs and kisses.
She will sadly be missed by her nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, honorary grandchildren and of course her work family from the Kingsclear Nursery.
In honour of her love of being a hockey mom and hockey nanny. The family is requesting donations to Grand Lake Minor Hockey.
The family will accept visitors at Marie’s most loved home on Tuesday, June 1st from 3:00 – 7:00pm while following all Covid – 10 protocols. A private funeral service will be held on June 2nd at 11:00am at the Christian Community Church.
While her loss will be felt for the rest of our days, we will forever love you a bushel and a peck
