LEBLANC, Marie-Jeanne – Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in her 93rd year. Marie-Jeanne Leblanc (née St. Cyr) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Ovide Leblanc. Loving mother of Catherine (the late Marvin) Bevan, Angela (Claude) Béland, Edgar, Mona (Garry) McLaughlin, and Annette (Ron) Sadler. Loving grandmother (Granny Goose/Super Granny) to Lisa (Chris) Laderoute-Read, Robert (Kim) Béland, Jason (Ashley) Béland, Eric (Mellissa) Gourlay, Ashley Leblanc, Shawn (Kristy) McLaughlin, Katie (Aaron) Ouellette, Alyssa Sadler and Connor Sadler. Special great grandmother to Evelyn, Tristen, Adelyn, Colton, Avery, Emily, Wesley, Lia and Grayson. Born and raised on a farm on Allumette Island, Quebec, in a family of 12, Marie-Jeanne was predeceased by parents Moise and Marie St. Cyr (née Chaput), by sisters Ella Duval, Lucille Sauvé, Irène Laflamme, Cécile Foisy, Rose Marie Johnson, and brothers Lionel, Léo Paul, Micheal John (MJ), Roméo and Wilfrid. Survived by her sister Marguerite Ginnish of Pickering and sister-in-law of Jeannine Leblanc. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Marie-Jeanne was a long-time member (70 years) of Our Lady of Mount Carmel C.W.L. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke on Tuesday, August 10th from 7 – 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, LaPasse on Wednesday, August 11th at 11 am. Interment of ashes in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, LaPasse. Due to current restrictions regarding COVID, a limited number of people are permitted at the funeral home at any given time – face masks/coverings are required to attend the visitation or service.
