Maria’s Obituary
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 10, 2021 at Extendicare Long-Term Care Home, Hamilton at the age of 93. God has taken her back to be reunited with her late husband of 59 years, Leonidio. Maria was a private person who cherished her faith and family above all. Loving mother of Carlos (Amelia), Mario (Christine), Elizabeth (John) and Victor. Grandmother to Rob (Laura), Michael, Andre (Julia), Jennifer, David (Amanda), Mark (Hanneke), Michele (Ryan), Miguel (Emily) and Melissa (Adam) and great-grandmother to Madison, Zoey, Osha, Renzo, Pella, Eva, Jonah, Maya, Wyatt, Emilia, and Sofia. God has called you back to rest and we will forever carry you in our hearts. Thank you to all the staff at Extendicare Hamilton, especially the staff of the Dundurn section where Maria resided for the past two and a half years. Your hard work, care and compassion was noted and appreciated by the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Cancer Society.
