Obituary of Marcella Small «Stella»
After a long life of looking after her beloved family, our dear mother Marcella “Stella” of Keswick, passed into the arms of her Saviour Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Sunrise Retirement Home Aurora. Missing her is her son Stephen (Leona), grandsons Michael (Jenny) Daniel (Kaitlyn), great-grandsons Michael and Matthew; waiting to see her again, her daughter Jennifer (Dale Baker), grandsons Jonathan, Jeremy and Joshua. Survived by their son Philip (Teresa) and their children, Mikaela and Adam.
Mom is reunited with her husband, our dad Noel Cecil Small. Mom taught us to work hard, to be careful with money, to love others and to love God and endure hardship. We will miss her Irish wit and many sayings and songs and her humour, her helpful hands and her genuine love. We take comfort in knowing of the many hours she spent praying for each of us as well as her friends.
We thank Mom’s friends for their prayers and concerns and for their support through this journey. We thank Sunrise Retirement Home of Aurora for genuinely caring for our mom and truly supporting the family through mom’s journey.
Visitation will be held at the M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a Private Funeral Service in the chapel at 12 p.m.
