Obituary of Marcella Darlene Voeltz
It is with light, love and honour that we share our Mother’s life story with you.
Marcella Darlene Voeltz started her journey on May 7, 1945 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan; born to John and Lillian (Julia Bzdel) Novakoski and the second youngest of eight siblings.
It was in Wynyard, Saskatchewan where she met the love of her life, Marvin Fred Voeltz, and they were married on December 4, 1965. They moved to Regina, SK where they provided a warm and loving home to two daughters, Yvette and Michelle. They were blessed to have two grandchildren, Burgandy (Yvette) and Jaden (Michelle). Burgandy and Jaden were their pride and joy and every moment they shared was cherished, an unconditional love that was seen and felt by all.
In 2016, after being a full-time loving caregiver, Marcella lost the love of her life, Marvin, and in 2017 her own health started to deteriorate. She did her best to fight her disease, always speaking positive and with a smile upon her face despite the disease’s hardships, struggles and pain she endured.
It is with sadness that this amazing woman, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma, Mother-in-law, Sister, Sister-in- law, Aunty, and Friend, left us here on Earth and started another journey on January 5, 2021.
We feel blessed to share that our Mom was an Organ and Tissue Donor. It was her greatest hope to restore sight to possibly two people or to benefit medical research and development.
Mom, the loss of you is immeasurable but so is the love you left behind. You left all of us a strong legacy to live and learn upon.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 8th, 2021, at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Road, Regina, SK with Rev. Richard Krofchek presiding.
Immediately following the service, please join us for a refreshment and sharing of memories at Smokin’ Okies BBQ, 2547 Quance St, Regina, SK. A private family supper will commence by 5:30.
May we all fulfill her wishes and KEEP HER SPIRIT ALIVE.
