It is with great sorrow, sadness and love that we say goodbye to our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Madeline White, who passed away peacefully on April 26, 2021 at the age of 87.
Madeline will be lovingly remembered by her children: Wendy (Moyle) and Thomas (White); 6 Grandchildren: Shawn, Tyler, Lindsay, Kyle, Jaret, Isabella; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by and now reunited with her husband, Vernon; son, Steven; parents; and her 12 brothers and sisters.
Madeline’s love for her family, courage, grace, beauty and strength was and will continue to be an inspiration to all that were blessed to know her.
Born in Montreal, PQ, she met the love of her life, husband Vernon, where they married on April 23, 1955 and shortly after started their family. Most known for her unselfishness and love for helping others, they became foster parents as well as having their own children.
Madeline was diagnosed with dementia several years ago and during her struggles there were many things that may have been forgotten but for certain she never forgot 3 words that were embedded in her heart and soul, “I Love You”. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Madeline’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society to honour her battle.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m on Wednesday, May 5. A livestream and service recording will be available here shortly.
