It is with deep sadness that the family
of Madeline Milner announce her peaceful
passing on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Drew Nursing Home
following a period of declining health.
Maddie, as she was affectionately known,
was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family
deeply. She was an amazingly strong woman, an excellent baker and
homemaker who was able to stay in her beloved home until the age of
91.
Maddie will be dearly missed by her two
sons, Kenneth «Buddy» (Linda) Trenholm, Sackville and Kevin
(Kristey Hicks) Milner, Dieppe; a daughter, Janet (Mark) Saulnier,
Moncton; five grandchildren, Tracy Trenholm, John Johnson, Kaitlyn
& Kelsey Milner, and Leah Saulnier; three great grandchildren,
Kayden, Noah, and Kalia; two
sisters, Betty Wheaton, Midgic, and Ruth Crossman, Sackville; her
son-in-law, Eric Wheeler, Sackville; her sister-in-law, Lorraine
(Donnie) Hicks, Sackville, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Maddie was
predeceased by her first husband, Vaughan Trenholm; her second husband
Frank Milner; her daughter, Dorothy Johnson, and her sisters Doris
Estabrooks, Phyllis Jackson, and Thelma
Tracy.
The family wishes to thank the Chignecto
Unit Staff of the Drew Nursing Home for their compassionate care of
Maddie since March of 2020, as well as the Brunswick Unit Staff of the
Sackville Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care from 2019 until
2020.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) from where visitation will be
held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 12 pm until the time of the
funeral service at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the
Sackville Cemetery.
As per government regulations, those who
wish to attend are required to show proof of double vaccination and a
government ID
Donations in memory of Madeline may be
made to the Drew Nursing Home or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
